Voci di Intercultura

From 2015 to 2018, the Intercultura Foundation interviewed some of the students who spent a year abroad in the early years of the Italian Association, to document in oral history the birth of the international student exchange programme, the impact on the lives of those who were students in the 50s and 60s, when studying in another country at the age of 17 was not yet a widespread possibility, the long-term effects of their experience abroad at a young age. Other testimonies were gathered from those who linked their year abroad to exceptional lives, such as those of astronauts Samantha Cristoforetti and Luca Parmitano.
This volume contains excerpts highlighting various aspects of the birth and growth of Intercultura, an exceptional event in our country for a voluntary organisation without party or church godparents, which has achieved a role as a reliable and competent institution in the field of international education.
