Convegno di presentazione della ricerca "La Scuola che vorrei"

Milan, September 20th, 2010

The results of the research project "The school I would like", run by Intercultura Foundation in cooperation with the University of Milan - Bicocca, were presented on Thursday, September 30, 2010 in Milan. Leading the research was Professor Susanna Mantovani, Deputy Provost and Professor of the University of Milan Bicocca (pedagogy).

The event was full of reflections, a sign that school has been the subject of many thoughts that never had the chance to be expressed in research settings. This research was an opportunity to speak as knowledgeable and competent partners.

The 50 AFS students who participated in the survey have developed proposals forthe ideal school: less formal, less subject to outdated syllabuses, focused on practice to test the theory, very open to current affairs, to an increasingly globalized world, to educational exchanges with foreign countries. Otherwise, school just takes a long time but: "Life is not there"

The conference was also attended by:

  • Maria Latella (Director A)
  • Laura Balbo (Sociologist University of Padua)
  • Licia Cianfriglia (Vice President ANP)
  • Joseph Colosio (Director USR Lombardia)
  • Andrea Gavosto (Director Giovanni Agnelli Foundation)
  • Roberto Ruffino (Secretary General Intercultura Foundation)
