Educazione civica e mobilità studentesca internazionale

Fondazione Intercultura, in collaboration with "Scuola Democratica", is running a study to explore the relationship between pupil mobility programs and their potential impact on civic and citizenship education for both the students and their classmates.

The project is supported by the National Association of school Principals (ANP) and Fondazione per la scuola.

Research actions:

• ACTION 1: Background research. This action aims to provide a critical review of the scientific and institutional-political background concerning democratic and intercultural competence.
• ACTION 2: Action research. This action aims to promote individual pupil mobility as a tool for intercultural education within the framework of civic and citizenship education. The pilot project seeks to design educational tools which enhanche the international dimension of citizenship.
• ACTION 3: Survey. The survey aims to investigate the civic and intercultural values of students who have participated in a program abroad with Intercultura, compared to their classmates.
